Life can be one big irony for someone who grew up not really crazy about cars, but ended up successful in the automotive business and recognized as one of the moving forces behind the industry.
This is the life of Willy Tee Ten, president of The Autohub Group of Companies.
The Autohub Group is an umbrella company consisting of automotive dealerships and service companies that include the American brand Ford with dealerships in Global City, Manila, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro; the Japanese brand Nissan with dealerships in Ortigas and Quezon Avenue; the Korean brand Hyundai with dealerships in Global City and Greenhills; and Mazda Cars in Cagayan de Oro. It also has ACCS (Accessories & Auto Car Care Services), the GATES Tatarini Italian LPG Kits, and the CLICK Auto Rental and Leasing.
Recently, the Autohub Group was also awarded as the country’s official distributor of the iconic British car brand MINI (MINI Cooper), and the equally iconic Italian scooter and motorcycle brands Piaggio, Vespa, and Gilera. It is also the distributor of the world’s number one window film, V-Kool.
In an interview with The Manila Times, Tee Ten said that he is happy being able to contribute to the growth and development of the industry in the Philippines, but this is not originally part of his career plan.
