MotoItalia Philippines, Inc., a synergy between GBI (Garden Barn Inc.) and the Autohub Group, hosted a launch party last October 15, 2009 to announce their appointment as the authorized Philippine distributor of Piaggio & C.S.p.a., Italy ‘s line of stylish scooters under the Piaggio, Vespa and Gilera brands.
The MEMBERS ONLY Club at The Fort, Bonifacio Global City was packed with over 200 guests from government, media, scooter communities, showbiz, business sector and the motoring industry. The La Polizia launch theme, saw the venue converted to a police station where hot foreign and local models served as police officers, and “reprimanded” the guests who came in as traffic violators. The strict policemen and women assisted the guests with their “mug” shots, riding safety seminar and “license releasing”.
Men and women clad in scooterista chic outfits were in a festive mood the entire evening. Ruffino Wines took care of the drinks, while AGV Helmets and Ben Sherman raffled off helmets and Target shirts, respectively. Piaggio product audio visual presentations flashed on Philips wide screen TVs kept everybody entertained. The major partners for the event were Standard Insurance, GoldPlan Insurance Brokers and Motul True Performance Oil.
Last November 16, 2009, MotoItalia Philippines Inc., the authorized distributor of Piaggio C&Spa, Italy’s line of products, and BPI Savings Bank signed a memorandum of agreement to launch Scoot Financing which will be initially offered through MOTO Greenhills, with address at 324 Ortigas Ave., North Greenhills, San Juan.
